Michaela Kirschner Manager LTC Berlin-Charlottenburg

I was born in the beautiful black forest region in Southern Germany – the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland. I have always been a passionate reader, writer and speaker, so I went to university to study German and English literature and later journalism. I finished my studies at the beginning of the new century and curiously set forth to Berlin to work as a freelance-journalist for the taz – die tageszeitung and several other newspapers and magazines. Being the daughter of two social workers I have always worked with children along the way. During my studies I spent one year in Kent (England) as an assistant teacher of German. In 2003 I broke new occupational ground and became a certified teacher for Helen Doron English – a method of teaching English to children at a very young age. In 2005 I opened my own language school and since then have taught hundreds of students and met hundreds of inspiring people. Supported by my loyal and esteemed teacher team I have come up with thousands of fresh approaches to fun and effective language learning. It is my strong belief that it is important to reinvent the wheel in this area of education – especially in Germany. Everybody can learn a foreign language if encouraged by a dedicated teacher, a fostering learning environment and a feasible goal. At my language school I try to provide it all.
